Brazoria County (Angleton, Pearland’s Brazoria side, Alvin, Manvel, Lake Jackson, Freeport, and nearby) holds mortgage trustee sales on the first Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where Brazoria mortgage sales are called
The Brazoria County Clerk states substitute trustee sales occur in the atrium of the Brazoria County Justice Center. Entrance is the Administration Building at 237 E. Locust, Angleton, TX 77515; take the second-floor crosswalk to the Justice Center; the atrium is on the first floor.
Notices may describe that atrium or “the area designated by Commissioners Court.” Trust the notice.

How to get there
Angleton is the county seat — not Pearland, not Lake Jackson. From Houston: 288 south to Angleton, then into downtown. 237 E. Locust is the administration entrance. You do not start at the old courtroom unless the notice is a tax sale.
Walk in at Locust, take the second-floor crosswalk, then down into the Justice Center atrium. If you are wandering a parking lot looking for “courthouse steps,” you missed the indoor atrium. Ask a deputy for the trustee sale; they will not give legal advice.
Tax sales are often in a different room
Brazoria County tax foreclosure sales are described as the Commissioners’ Courtroom on the first floor of the Brazoria County Courthouse, first Tuesday from 10 a.m. That is not the same as the bank’s trustee sale. See tax sale vs. mortgage foreclosure.
The calendar
First Tuesday. If that Tuesday is January 1 or July 4, the sale is the first Wednesday. Twenty-one-day notice of sale still applies. How to read a notice of trustee sale. Dates: 2026 first Tuesdays (next is November 3).
What to do today
- Copy date, time, and place from the notice.
- Call the trustee and loss mitigation.
- Call a HUD counselor: Who to call. Houston HUD agencies and 1-888-995-HOPE / 1-800-569-4287 serve the metro, including Brazoria.
- Lone Star Legal Aid if you have court papers.

Brazoria moved many trustee sales indoors to the Justice Center atrium. Tax sales may still be in a courtroom. The caption on the notice tells you which file it is.
