Liberty County (Liberty, Cleveland, Dayton, Hardin, Ames) holds mortgage trustee sales on the first Tuesday.
Where Liberty mortgage sales are called
Commissioners Court has ratified the site as the front steps on the south side of the Liberty County Courthouse, 1923 Sam Houston, Liberty, TX 77575. That order covers both deed-of-trust sales under Property Code §51.002 and tax sales under Tax Code §34.01(r).
The clerk files notices. The clerk does not run the auction and cannot give legal advice. Tax and mortgage sales can share a Tuesday and even those same steps — they are still different cases. See tax sale vs. mortgage foreclosure.
How to get there
Liberty the city, on US 90 — not Liberty Hill (Williamson County), not a Houston ZIP that happens to say “Liberty” in the apartment name. From Houston: US 90 east through Dayton, or 1960 / 146 depending where you start. 1923 Sam Houston is the courthouse. South steps face the front; if you are on the north lawn you walked around the building.
Cleveland straddles Liberty and Montgomery. Dayton sits near Harris. Use the county on the notice, then drive to that courthouse.
The calendar
First Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. If that Tuesday is January 1 or July 4, the sale is the first Wednesday. Twenty-one-day notice still applies. Dates: 2026 first Tuesdays (next is November 3).
What to do today
- Copy date, time, and “1923 Sam Houston” (or whatever the notice says).
- Call the trustee and loss mitigation.
