Walker County Foreclosure Sale

Please read this first. Educational site only. Not a law firm, not a HUD counselor, not a servicer. Confirm the place of sale on your notice.

Updated September 2026. Educational only — not legal advice.

Walker County (Huntsville, New Waverly, Riverside) is north of Montgomery County. It is not Waller County (Hempstead). Mortgage trustee sales are the first Tuesday.

Where Walker mortgage sales are called

The county clerk states the designated site as the east side of the Walker County Courthouse (inside or on the stairs), 1100 University Avenue, Huntsville. Notices often say the east entrance and adjacent area, second floor. The clerk files notices and does not conduct the auction.

Some tax sales have been called at the Walker County Storm Shelter, 455 State Highway 75 N. That is a different case from the bank’s deed-of-trust sale. See tax sale vs. mortgage foreclosure.

The calendar
