What we collect
This site has no contact form. Reading a guide does not ask for your name, email, or a message.
The chat bubble is website and tech support. If you type an email address and a message there, LeadConnector sends that message so we can reply about the site. We do not take foreclosure cases in that chat. Free HUD and legal-aid numbers are on Who to call.
The web server writes standard logs (IP address, browser, and time) as part of hosting.
Google Analytics, through Site Kit, measures which pages are read. It sets cookies such as _ga. On a guide, Site Kit can also record content engagement, including an estimated reading time and whether the page was scrolled. You can block cookies in your browser.
How we use it
Logs and analytics are used to keep the site running and to see which guides are read. We do not sell your information. We do not use visitor stories in ads. Reading a guide does not sign you up for anything.
Third parties
- Google Analytics (Site Kit) — page measurement and content-engagement events.
- LeadConnector — the website tech-support chat, including the email and message you type.
- Cloudflare — DNS, proxy, and security in front of the site.
- Bunny Fonts (fonts.bunny.net) — the typefaces on the pages.
- unpkg and OpenStreetMap — the Counties map loads Leaflet from unpkg.com and map tiles from OpenStreetMap.
Those services process data under their own terms. The host keeps the server logs.
How long we keep it
Server logs follow the host’s normal retention. Analytics follow Google’s settings for this property. A chat message stays in the tech-support mailbox so we can reply about the website.
This site does not take cases
