Texas trustee sales are called on the first Tuesday of the month, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the county where the house sits (or the place Commissioners Court designated). If that Tuesday is January 1 or July 4, the public sale moves to the first Wednesday.
2026 has no Wednesday shift. January 1 was a Thursday. July 4 was a Saturday. Every date below is a Tuesday. The next Wednesday exception on that holiday rule is July 2028.

All 2026 dates are Tuesdays. Confirm the date printed on your notice; a posting can name November or December instead of October.
What this calendar does not do
- It does not list which houses are posted. That is the county clerk’s foreclosure filings and the paper in your hand.
- It does not move a sale. Only the servicer, a complete loss-mitigation file, a closing, a court order, or a bankruptcy filing can change a posted date.
- A notice can name a later first Tuesday. Copy the date off your notice, then match the county: city or county?

Frequently asked questions
Is every Texas foreclosure on a first Tuesday?
Deed-of-trust trustee sales under §51.002 are. Tax, constable, and some HOA sales often share that Tuesday but are a different file. Some counties run tax sales online. Confirm the paper.
When does the Wednesday rule fire?
Only when the first Tuesday of January or July is January 1 or July 4. That did not happen in 2026. Next time on this holiday pair: July 4, 2028 (a Tuesday), so that month’s public sale is Wednesday, July 5, 2028 unless the statute changes.
